The Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board's Panel on Structural Geology & Geoengineering (SG&G) has invited organizations including the Department of Energy (DOE), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and the State of Nevada to a meeting on volcanism in Tucson, Arizona, on Friday, March 1, 1991.
The Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board (NWTRB) has invited Dr. John W. Bartlett, Director of the DOE's Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management (OCRWM), and Mr. David H. Leroy, recently confirmed Nuclear Waste Negotiator, as well as representatives of industry, environmental organizations, public policy groups, and state interests to speak at the Board's meeting on January 16 and 17, 1991, on the disposal of high-level radioactive waste (HLW).
The Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board (NWTRB) today released its Second Report to the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Secretary of Energy. The Second Report tracks progress on topics that were identified in the Board's First Report (March 1990) and discusses issues central to determining early on the suitability of the proposed site at Yucca Mountain, Nevada.
